Top adventure travel company Explore has joined Team Gorilla as official sponsor of the Great Gorilla Run 2008.

We’re very excited… and you will be too when you find out what’s up for grabs. Explore is offering a ‘once in a lifetime’ gorilla safari holiday to this year’s top fundraiser. A six day adventure through the luscious Forests of Uganda, appreciating the beautiful flora and fauna that this part of central Africa has to offer, and then… seeing the gorillas, in their natural forest home.

Run as a gorilla and then go and see the real thing, knowing that thanks to your fundraising efforts these beautiful creatures will continue to exist for future generations to enjoy.

The gorilla runner who raises the most sponsorship money will be jetting off to Uganda for a great gorilla date so get your justgiving site emailed out to everyone you’ve ever met, get your boss to match your fundraising, get collecting outside your local supermarket. If someone bets you can’t, prove you can and get them to pay up - all for the chance to see the gorillas and ensure their survival.

• There is one prize on offer of any Explore holiday to the value of £2,500 (one departure only and for up to 2 people)
• Additional people can be booked on to the trip through our standard booking procedures and at the published rate, subject to availability
• The prize holiday is subject to availability and must be taken before the end of September 2009.
• The prize is not transferable, amendable or redeemable for cash.
• The total prize value includes the basic tour price as published on the Explore website at time of booking and any additional airline fuel surcharges or supplements applicable at time of booking, plus the local payment if relevant.
• The prize value will not include costs of visas, optional extras, or insurance (NB: travel insurance is mandatory on all Explore tours)
• Holiday inclusions: return flights/train from London where applicable, ground transfers, accommodation, some meals, the services of a tour leader, local guides, drivers and other support staff as necessary, all as detailed on the trip dossier - available on our website.
• The winner will be liable for some meals, insurance, vaccinations and visa costs where applicable and as detailed on the trip dossier or on explore.co.uk.
• This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer.
• If the prize tour is cancelled for any reason by Explore, the winner can transfer to a new available tour, but a cash alternative will not be offered. However a transfer will be solely at Explore’s discretion if the original booking is cancelled by the winner.
• The winner can extend their tour prize or combine their tour with another tour, when they pay any excess costs.
• Age restrictions apply dependent on the tour chosen, but the minimum age for Family Adventure tours is 5yrs old rising to 8yrs for some tours. The minimum age for all other tours is usually 14, but under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum age for all tours is 79 unless travelling with a companion under the maximum age.
