Whether you’re participating in this year’s Great Gorilla Run, volunteering as a Marshal or egging on the gorillas, here’s all you need to know.

Order of the day

The run will start and finish at Minster Court, Mincing Lane, London, EC3R 7AA. To view the closest car parks (Look for the blue P’s) check out this map courtesy of Streetmap.

All runners need to arrive by 9:30am.

The information point, merchandise stall and baggage area will be located on the upper level of Minster Court, behind the giant gorillas.

Runners must bring their running numbers with them. If runners are without their running numbers they must head to the information desk.

Pins for running numbers can be  acquired at the information desk.

The run will begin at 10:30am.

Prize giving for the best-dressed male and female gorilla, furthest traveled gorilla and the largest team will commence from 12:00pm.

The top fundraiser will be announced on November 26th, which is the deadline for sponsorship.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase from 12pm onwards.

Directions to Mincing Lane

From Monument station - head east along East Cheap and turn left at Mincing Lane

From Tower Hill station - head west on the north side of Thames St Byward heading right at the junction of Thames St Byward and East Cheap, turn right at Mincing Lane.

The best spot for spectators

Photographs, video footage and cheering are best carried out on the Southbank section of the run. You can point your runners to our route map.

Gorilla After party

Commencing from 10:30pm at Club de Fromage. Runners who bring their running number and their gorilla head will get a discount at the door. Friends and family wishing to come along before midnight can get in for £7, £10 after midnight.
