Banana Smoothie

Before Xmas, Great Gorilla Eats was a procession of fat-filled treats aimed as a reward for getting you out there training for the Great Gorilla Run.

Now it’s a New Year, we’re on the slow but steady path to spring, and sweet -flavoured bribery should no longer be necessary.

After several weeks of festive feasting, lounging and maybe just enough hell-raising, you Great Gorillas must be itching to get out there and stretch those fur-clad legs.

But have no fear - this doesn’t mean that Great Gorilla Eats are gonna stop being tasty. Get your blender ready and check out GGE no.7 below - it’s lovely!

However, it’s also a low-fat, anti-oxidant-packing punch - how in keeping with the season.

And it provides you with some much-needed post-run refreshment - slurp!

INGREDIENTS (makes a generous pint)

2 ripe bananas
A handful of blueberries
A dollop of natural yoghurt (optional)
1 squeeze of fresh lime juice
A glug of milk (soy or cow)
A glug of orange juice

INSTRUCTIONS

Even the most takeaway-enslaved gorilla can master this one…

1) Throw all the ingredients in a blender except the milk and OJ
2) Add milk and OJ slowly and whizz yourself happy

Simples!
