A most inspired fun run character made a debut appearance at the Great Gorilla Run 2009 - On the Dole Gorilla.
Tapping into the mood of the credit crunch, On the Dole Gorilla carried a sign advertising her availability for work.
We don’t know if it was a genuine appeal for work or just a sign of the times to enhance her character. Either way, we salute the ingenuity of this Great Gorilla.
And of course if it was the former, then we hope the offers of work came flooding in post-Great Gorilla Run.
