Down at Great Gorilla HQ, we’ve been hearing rumours of a Super-Hero race, in fact, a whole series of super-hero races across the country.

These wannabe all-costume run organisers even have the audacity to stage one of their super-hero races on the same day as the Great Gorilla Run 2010 - Sunday 26th September - how very dare they?

But we’re not bothered. The fact is here in Great Gorilla World, we’re bursting at the seams with super-heros.

Each September the super-heros gather in the City for the annual 7KM city centre pilgrimage in honour of our furry friends in Central Africa.

There’s the obvious super-heros - Batman, Wonder-Woman, Superman, Spiderman, Bananaman, Jedi Knights etc etc…

But the fact is every single Great Gorilla runner is a super-hero, selflessly dedicating a significant chunk of their year, training and fundraising in aid of the world’s last gorillas.

We salute you Great Gorillas - you’re super-heros one and all!
