The adventurers rafted grade 5 rapids at the source of the River Nile, climbed volcanoes and slept under the African starry night sky while hyenas barked to one another only metres away.

They visited three national parks, including The Virunga National Park, where they had a close encounter with some of the remaining 720 mountain gorillas.

One of the trip’s highlights was an exclusive visit to some of the community conservation projects set up by the Gorilla Organization to help protect the endangered gorillas. The visitors met local people in Rwanda who were directly benefiting from the programme and helping to protect the gorillas natural habitat.

These adventurers donated £500 each to the Gorilla Organization, which will help fund many of the projects that they during their visit.
