Latitude Festival was the third outing for the 2009 Festival Gorillas, who raised £1,900 for The Gorilla Organization’s conservation programme.

The team of 16 did a sterling job working behind the festival bars to raise money for the few remaining gorillas. Just like the real gorillas the team often found themselves gravitating to the wild woodland, on the edge of Latitude festival.

After working for six hours the late night woodland raves served as a great opportunity for these festival gorillas to express their incredible dancing prowess, along with thousands of other festival revellers.

Thanks to the fundraising of our Gorilla Festival Team the Gorilla Organization is able to continue to support its programme of conservation and sustainable community projects, helping to ensure the continued survival of the greatest ape, the gorilla.
