glastonbury.jpgphoto.jpgGlastonbury GorillasGlastonbury festival, the biggest and best music festival in the world became home to an army of Great Gorillas, including our own Buddy Gorilla this June.

This year’s volunteer team did a fantastic job raising over £5,000 for the Gorilla Organization’s conservation and community development projects in Africa.

With a healthy balance of work and play our gorilla army worked daily shifts behind the bars and then partied along to an amazing selection of bands and musicians.

Large screens across the festival kept them up-to-date with World Cup wins and woes, keeping festival-goers in the football loop to celebrate and then ultimately commiserate England’s knock-out game together.

All in all this years Glasto was truly one to remember for all the right reasons … well, except one, and we only have to wait another four years to put that right.

The Gorilla Organization’s gorilla army stayed strong thanks to the continued support of Groovy Smoothies, who kept the team hydrated and vitamined up with their great smoothie drinks. Thank you Groovy Smoothies!

There will be more gorilla troops invading festivals up and down the country over the next couple of months, raising those much needed funds and maybe doing a bit of crowd surfing too, so check out our website, Facebook group, and Buddy Gorillas’ tweets for more upcoming festival frolics!
