The incredibly popular X-Factor programme, where wannabe superstars compete for a record deal, has recently featured a blue gorilla singing “In the Jungle” by the Tokens. The blue gorilla is also known as Bertrand Bodson, who has raised £1000 for the Gorilla Organization.

Bertrand used his website Bragster to raise the money by daring to get onto the X-Factor auditions in a blue gorilla suit, and sing in front of Simon Cowell, Dannii Minogue, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole.

“I got all I could hope for and more: £1,000 for the Gorillas… and a hug from Dannii Minogue”, said Bertrand.

He received plenty of attention including an article in the Daily Star (see pic) and was featured on the X-Factor audition show and has helped to raise the profile of the Gorilla Organization, not to mention much needed funds.

Bertrand will be taking part in this year’s Great Gorilla Run, which will be his second time taking part in the run, however this time he will be in a blue gorilla suit.
